Everything's fine.
Not perfect.
But fine.

It didn't matter that I only knew 6 of 25 people inside that tiny room at midnight..
Minutes later, Josh had a guitar and we were all singing the words to the same song.
Soco Amaretto Lime.
I mean, it felt right.

And as far as all this resolution talk is concerned.
It isn't so much becoming a new person the instant the ball drops.
It's more of a gradual progress that takes place the whole year.

I don't want to be a new person right now.
I'm actually quite content.

I'll be different next New Years Eve, that's a given.
And I'll be just as happy.

But I'm sure I'm only preaching to the choir.

In a couple of weeks
Megan and I will be on the Amtrak to Chicago
to see Fallout Boy and Midtown at the House of Blues.
And to stay for a few days.
Holy, holy crap.

read this book!
i have a copy, let me know if you'd like to borrow it.

I love it when my brother visits from UofM.
It usually goes like this:
He arrives while I'm out with my friends.
I come home after midnight.
We stay up til 3am talking about philosophy and all the crazy things that come with it.
It's as if his being gone at MSU for 4 years, and now being at UofM for grad school has actually made us closer.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Call me crazy, but...
The colors of a traffic light don't matter.
I mean in what sense, BEFORE the traffic light, did green ever symbolize "GO?"
Or red, "STOP?"
Or yellow, "SLOW?"
They didn't.
Red, yellow and green make sense once put together.
But it really isn't the colors that matter.
Couldn't purple, orange and silver serve just as well?
[THAT'S philosophy.]

Anyway, I'm dreading English Lit now.
Irving assigned us parts in..dun, dun, dunnnn, MACBETH.
And I'm Lady Macbeth, which is a huge part.
You can't imagine my joy of having to read,
out loud,
pages at a time,
this gobbledy-gook of which I can't make heads or tails of anyhow.
Eh, whatever.

On a lighter note:
GETupKID156: Nice crappy local band when I was in 7th grade reference

What can I say?
I try.

"We have China Buffet radar...it's like...China Buffedar."

Last night was so random.

Mallory asked me to go to a hockey game, a party, then stay the night at her house, but I couldn't because I had to go to church in the morning...i.e.-i don't think God likes people with hangovers?

Anyway.
I called Cheryl and picked her up.
We went to taco bell for a bit and then drove around for a while.
We figured out that some bands were playing at BCC&T, so we figured we'd check it out.
We almost got raped in the parking lot...okay, not really.
One rape, a smoothie, two wine magazines, and 10 minutes of "Spartan Rock" later, we decided it was a bust and left.
Went to Target as it was closing and bought Interpol's CD, "Antics."
Then we went to the Texan.
I called Logan to see what he was up to, and he's at BCC&T with Pete and Josh.
We start heading over there and Logan calls saying that they got kicked out.
So the 5 of us go BACK to the texan.
We squish into one booth with me in the middle of Pete and Logan on one side, and Cheryl and Josh on the other:
me-"Great, I feel like I'm in the middle of an emo sandwich."
josh-"and we have a punk-rock pizza on this side."
logan-"josh. please. you mean pop-rock."
josh-"punk-rock...pop-punk."
logan-(makes hissing noise)"Sorry Sharrard, I had to deflate your ego a bit, I mean, you ARE going to have to fit your head inside your car to drive home."

After much driving, CD switching, back-tracking, and Josh being obsessed with Home Alone, we called it a night.

ps:I STILL can't believe I got away with Thursday night.
^cheryl-"you're good at that....SURPRISINGLY good."

fin.
